TROEF aims to accelerate the transition to renewable energy in built environments by developing a new energy ecosystem. The application of this energy ecosystem will demonstrably lower the carbon footprint, reduce the costs of transition, and enable users to increase their return on investments towards renewable energy.
An energy ecosystem is a community in which both private and commercial connected participants can exchange locally generated renewable energy with other participants through the use of technologies, propositions and customer journeys developed by TROEF. This is called the Internet of Energy.
