Where everyone can join local sustainable energy

With TROEF Buurtenergie we want to ensure that locally produced energy is also used locally. To do this, we connect houses with solar panels to houses without solar panels. This allows more sustainable locally produced energy to be exchanged in the neighbourhood. For this we use solar energy that is normally supplied back to the existing energy grid. In this way, houses without solar panels can use the solar energy left over from houses with solar panels in the neighborhood. Are you in?

01

The use of sustainable local energy

By using locally generated energy locally, your used energy is demonstrably sustainable.

02

Reducing the peak on the grid

Due to local generation and use of energy, the grid operator has to adjust the energy grid in fewer places.

03

Prepare yourself for the future

It will become cheaper in the future to use energy when it is available locally.

The benefits of local energy exchange in the neighbourhood

The energy system of the future consists of more sustainable energy, produced locally and used together, with a lower energy bill in the future. By also using the local generated energy locally, your used energy is demonstrably sustainable. In addition, the grid operator has to adjust the energy grid in fewer places. It will therefore become cheaper to use energy when it is locally available. For example on a sunny day when the solar panels generate maximum energy and there is energy left over to be used by the neighbourhood. Installations are also getting smarter. For example, the heat pump can produce hot water at those times when energy is generated locally via solar panels. Curious about how this works? Click here.
